Well we're back from our trip in Kauai. We really had a great time there, but we did run into one big issue...That issue being the rain... Usually the average rain fall for March in Kauai is about 3 inches. However, this year was quite unusual and they had about 33+ inches of rain in just March alone. There were dam breaks all over the island causing flooding and damaged resorts/roads/houses.... Take a look at some pictures.
Luckily we still had a great time and did catch a few sunny days. The Marriott beach resort was awesome. We got some relax time for just the 2 of us and we got a 50 minute couples massage at the resort. During the rain we still went out and did more sight seeing (waterfalls, canyons, shopping, etc..) When the sun did come out is when we went snorkling and relaxed on the beach.
Overall, I think the trip was great and I'd love to go back when there was a little more sun...
