Thomas' first birthday

My mom came to down for Thomas' first birthday. When she was in town we went into D.C. to see some of the monuments and even got to take a tour of the white house. Even though it was hot and exhausting walking all over town, we all had a great time. We already miss her!

Here's a small video taken from the birthday party we had for Thomas. Since he's alergic to eggs we had to make him a special cup cake without eggs. It actually still tastes pretty good, but I don't think Thomas cared for it.

Thomas laughing

Here's a video of Thomas listening to his own voice and his dad barking like a dog. He was having a blast!

4th of July weekend

It was a big weekend for Mr. T. He got his first haircut! As you can see, he's not too happy about it either. He actually did pretty well once he got used to the lady cutting his hair.

This was also 4th of July weekend and there is a parade every year just down the street from where Liz grew up. So Thomas got to be in the same parade has his mother did growing up. Here's a picture of Thomas all decked out and ready to strut his stuff in the parade.

Learning something new every day

Well, even though these videos are only a few days old, they're already out of date because he's doing much better then this now.

Here's a video of Thomas walking across the family room:

This video is funny just because you can see a little bit more of his personality and if you listen carefully, you can hear him imitating me as I'm playing around with him some when he should be trying to eat. :)

Here's a video of Thomas eating some bananas:

Family day @ Glen Echo Park

We had a beautiful day in Maryland today. It was about 80 outside and everything is in bloom. I can't believe how green and colorful everything is. So different then AZ.

We visited Glen Echo park today so we could take Thomas on the carousel ride and enjoy the outdoors. As you can see, Thomas is a very curious and watches everything.

Learning to walk

I know it hasn't been long, but Thomas is already learning to walk. He can't do it by himself yet, but this little man is on the move and he's not even 8 months old yet!

A vacation in Maui

It's been too long since I've posted on this blog. Sorry, but I have a 3 month old now.

Anyways, Thomas is now 3 1/2 months old and we brought him with us to a wedding vacation in Maui, Hawaii. The wedding was for my good friends Stephen and Jen Kuenzli. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and they definitely didn't go wrong with having it in Maui.

Thomas was on his best behavior and did excellent the whole time. I swear he either turned into a different child or just loved Maui as much as we did...

Here's some pictures from our vacation.

Thomas Michael Ryan

Well, Thomas has arrived. He was born July 17th, 2007 at 4:42 PM. He weighed 6 lbs 12 ounces & was 19 1/2 inches long.

Liz is recovering and doing well. It was a long day and she did a great job. She made it all the way to 8cm totally natural, but had to give in for the epidural after she was already 8cm dilated. Once the epidural was given Liz only had contractions for a few more hours and then had to push for only 30 minutes. She was such a strong pusher that he came right out. Liz had some slight tearing so she had to be stitched afterwards but is doing great now.

We are at home now so if anyone feels like they would like to stop by the house to say hi and see the new addition to the family then just give us a call.

Thanks everyone for all your support! It's great having such awesome friends and family.

You can view the photo album here

I think I'm going to start using picasa from Google from now on.

Well Liz & I have almost everything ready for Mr. T to arrive.

We've been busy putting his room together, shopping, and working to pay all these billz!

One of our biggest challenges so far is going to be flying to Maryland in June with a 35 week pregnant wife. Liz gets to be in her sisters wedding back in Baltimore.

Thomas' Baby Shower

One of Liz's friends is throwing her a baby shower on April 28th up in Anthem, north of our house.

So, for those of you asking the question, "Are you registered anywhere for the baby shower?".

Answer: Yes, we're registered at a couple places. Go here if you want to see our wish list.

So far Liz has completed 24 weeks of pregnancy so we have 16 weeks left. The babies due date is July 22nd!
