A Wedding & A Pregnant Wife

So we just got back from a wedding in Maryland for Liz's sister Jen and her new husband Matt. We had a great time visiting with family, eating crab cakes, and flying on a packed plane full of kids and a pregnant wife!

No, really the flight wasn't that bad. Liz did really good and we were able to watch movies on the plane which helped make the ride much quicker. The wedding was pretty fun too. The church where the ceremony took place was amazing, the limo bus full of beer, and the reception was full of good speeches and good times.

Liz had to speak at her sisters wedding. I know she was nervous, but did a great job in front of 160 people.

Anyways, I'm excited to have all this new family in my life and I'm looking forward to Matt kicking my ass over and over again on the golf course!

Wedding Reception (Maryland)

Well, we had our second of two receptions in Maryland on March 10th. We had a great time and the weather was perfect pretty much the entire time we were there. Growing up in Arizona, I really love seeing all of the trees and wild life (Deer, squirrels, etc..) back east. I know Arizona has that to, but I'd have to drive 3-4 hours to see it... I can't just look outside my backyard.

March 10th was suppose to be the date of our wedding ceremony in Mexico on the beach, but our little boy Thomas decided to interrupt the shin dig!

Anyways, we had a great time and love going to back to Maryland as often as possible. Thanks so much to my new loving family Tom, Anne, Matt, & Jen for all the help you gave us!

Married & have a little one on the way ...

Well, I have some big news! I'm married and Liz is pregnant!

Liz and I were originally planning on getting married in Mexico next March. However, because it is almost impossible to get married in Mexico our plan was to just get married here in Phoenix the week before we leave to Mexico. Then I got a new job and Liz lost the health insurance plan we had at Blackboard through the domestic partner agreement since my new company doesn't have it. So we decided it would be best to just get married now.

We got married on November 3rd with our parents and grandparents at a small courthouse in Phoenix. This was the first time that our parents had meet and we all went to dinner afterwards. The judge "Rebecca MacBeth" married us and did a wonderful job. We honestly were expecting to walk in, sign some papers, and walk out. But this judge read a Shakespeare sonnet, did our vows, and then read this Apache Wedding Chant at the end that was really cool. It was a wonderful night!

So after this, our plan was to still go to Mexico for our ceremony and celebration. Then on November 17th, we found out that Liz is pregnant. While this wasn't expected, we are both very very excited. We weren't really going to try for kids until sometime next year... But this is something that we both have always wanted and can't wait. Right now it's very early in the process since Liz is only 6 weeks along. Once we see a doctor in December we'll know more about our plans and will sent out invitations to our reception.

Now that we know we're going to have a baby we think our trip to Mexico will be cancelled. We think that it's the best decision for the safety and health of our new little one. We'll probably just have a reception here in Phoenix and another party in Maryland for Liz's family.

Anyways, if anyone has any questions or just wants to chat then please give us a call!
